1、for example用來舉例說明，有時可作為獨立語，插在句中，不影響句子其他部分的語法關系，可置于句首、句中、句末，for example后用逗號隔開。例如：

such as和such that的用法

1、such…as結構，其中的as為關系代詞，引導的是定語從句，在從句中充當句子成分。

He’s not such a fool as he looks. 他并不像看上去的那樣愚蠢。

I never heard such stories as he tells. 我從未聽過他講的這種故事。

He is not half such a fool as they thought. 他遠非他們認為的那么傻。

Such women as knew Tom thought he was charming. 那些認識湯姆的女人都認為他很迷人。

2、such……that，that是連詞，引導結果狀語從句，在從句中不承擔句子成分。

He is such a good teacher that all his pupils like him. 他是位極好的老師，所有的學生都喜歡他。

Mr. Smith is such a good teacher that we all respect him. 史密斯先生是一位如此優(yōu)秀的教師，以致我們大家都尊敬他。

都譯成：如此的...（以致）

such…that…引導結果狀語從句（從句中不缺成分；that 在從句中不充當成分）
